Job Title: Sr. Cold room Automation Engineer (Pharma)

Pay Rate: $75/hr-$100/hr all-in rate (depending on experience)
Job Description:
Client is a pharma company that is searching for Sr. Cold room Automation Engineer, supporting the design, construction, commissioning, Startup, qualification, validation, training and operation of the clients CO2 Cold Chain (Cold Rooms/Refrigeration systems with ASRS). The location is in central Ohio, and the consultant engineer will need to be onsite. This role partners closely with Site Facility & Engineering (F&E), Packaging operations, Warehouse, Quality, Technologies/DTI/IT and external cold room vendors to ensure Cold Room/Refrigeration systems and processes are designed, implemented, and operated in compliance with cold room specifications as well as GxP, safety, and quality requirements. The engineer will serve as a technical subject matter expert and contribute to the development of reliable, scalable, and compliant cold chain solutions.
Must Haves:
- 10+ years in Industrial Refrigeration and Cold room Design
- 5+ years in CO2 cold room design and operation
- Proficiency in Automated processes, technologies and systems deployment and adoption
- Strong project management and communication skills
- Strong knowledge of cGMP and validation processes.
- Experience working in an operational GxP-regulated environment with a strong understanding of applicable regulations and standards
- Direct experience working in regulated environments (GMP, OSHA, EPA)

Pay: $75.00 - $100.00 per hour

- Do you have 10+ years of experience in industrial refrigeration and cold room design?
- Do you have 5+ years of hands-on experience specifically designing and/or operating CO₂ refrigeration or CO₂ cold room systems?
- Do you have experience with automated cold-room processes, technologies, and system deployments, including ASRS (Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems)?
- Have you worked directly in a pharmaceutical or other GxP-regulated environment?
- Have you participated in IQ/OQ/PQ or other qualification/validation activities for refrigeration, cold-room, warehouse, or automated systems?
- Do you have direct experience working under GMP, OSHA, and EPA requirements?
- Do you have experience managing or supporting large-scale engineering projects involving cold rooms, refrigeration, automation, or cold-chain systems?
