Summary: The Digital Print services Coordinator will be responsible for maintaining and operating a state-of-the-art digital printer; Konica Accurio Press C7090 to produce a large variety of print projects including, but not limited to, Marketing materials, catalogs, book jackets, and perfect bound books. Perform quality inspections to ensure all house book samples meet our production standards. Assist with weekly short run inventory replenishment activities.
This is an in person, on-site position based out of our downtown Minneapolis office, with the person being in the office Monday to Friday.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Operate high resolution digital print systems to produce high-quality prints per the order requests submitted.
· Maintain daily order system; achieve competency and meet deadlines regarding set-up and processing of orders. Read and follow all Order Requests to ensure correct product components, quantities, packaging requirements are met.
· Setup, program, and release jobs from print queue. RIP files and/or review job instructions to prepare jobs for printing. Transfer data files via network to print vendors.
· Manage color calibration and recording densitometer readings for optimal Konica output.
· Evaluate output and adjust to obtain a desired level of image quality. Place service calls when necessary. Communicate issues with Konica technicians and Lerner supervisor.
· Troubleshoot minor machine malfunctions and perform light machine maintenance.
· Order paper and Konica supplies such as toner, staples, and glue chips. Manage inventory levels and organize supplies in the Production Room.
· Facilitate quality review of printed and bound book samples from vendors.
· Assist with weekly production short run reprint inventory buying. Utilize the vendor pricing grids and/or quote reprints with vendors. Issue purchase orders and upload files.
· Status check for late deliveries with vendors.
· Prepare weekly season reports for work in progress (Advance Reader Copies and Folded & Gathered)
· Sign for deliveries at the receiving dock.
· Maintain clean working environment in the production room and the dock. Practice safe working habits in moving and storing inventory.

· Knowledge, ability, and willingness to perform all duties of assigned area.
· Move seamlessly between projects for efficiency. Set priorities for the projects at hand based on deadlines. During slower workflow, fill the time with prep work and organization of the area.
· Focus on high-quality output, taking the necessary time to achieve high quality.
· Recycle excess cardboard and box inventory.
· Cooperate with all co-workers, internal customers and vendors projecting a positive and supportive attitude.
· Report to work on time, alert and ready for production at designated start time

Experience and Necessary skills:
· Ability to program and run equipment such as a high-speed copier, hydraulic cutter, foam core mounting and other printing equipment as needed.
· Knowledge of printed book specifications (paper, book formats, book bindings, end sheets, laminates).
· Ability to quality review color density scans and carefully review books for quality standards
· Computer competency using a PC, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Acrobat. Familiarity with using a Mac for InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop would be helpful.
· Highly detailed oriented and quality focus driven.
· Collaborator with critical thinking skills.
· Able to read, write, and communicate clearly to ensure accuracy and understanding of job ticket.
· Able to operate a manual pallet jack, hand truck and lift fifty pounds.
· Able to facilitate work functions standing and moving printed materials through production stages.
Education and/or Experience:
· High school diploma or equivalent
· One year of digital print experience with a high-speed copier or a digital print press.
· One year retail experience or serving internal customers.
· Technical and mechanical aptitude helpful.
Full-time Hourly position
Hiring Range: $18 to $21 per hour DOE
Office hours: Monday through Friday, daytime hours
