Up to $1500.00 sign on bonus. We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care while assisting the dentist during various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Duties:
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment following aseptic techniques.
- Maintain accurate medical records and update patient information as needed.
- Perform medical imaging, including X-rays, while adhering to safety protocols.
- Take and record vital signs of patients prior to treatment.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Manage appointment scheduling and coordinate patient flow within the office.
- Assist with administrative tasks as necessary, including using Open Dental software.
- Support specialized procedures in areas such as prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatrics.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a dental practice is required.
- Certification in radiology (X-ray) is required.
- Proficiency in medical records management and familiarity with dental software system is advantageous.
- Knowledge of aseptic techniques and experience in medical imaging is essential.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages.
- Attention to detail and ability to work efficiently under pressure.
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a dental assistant program is preferred.
