American Traveler is hiring an experienced ER RN with charge experience, TNCC certification, and Epic proficiency for a 13-week travel contract at a Level IV Trauma Center in Texas.

Work in the Emergency Department of a short-term acute care hospital with 49 staffed beds and Level IV Trauma Center designation
-
Patient ratio of 4:1

Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)

Weekends required as needed
-
Block scheduling required
-
No on-call required
-
No floating between units within this facility; however, travelers are expected to float between facilities within the state

Epic EMR required
-
Active TX RN license or compact RN license currently in hand

Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and TNCC
-
Minimum 2 years of ER nursing experience required

Charge nurse experience required — must be able to charge from day one with minimal department orientation

Epic EMR experience required

At least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty or setting

Full SSN and DOB required for consideration

First-time travelers are not eligible for this position

Former permanent staff of this health system must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler

Candidates must not reside within 50 miles of the facility to be eligible

Minimal RTO is strongly preferred for this position

Navy blue scrubs required for RNs
