Seven Sons Truck and Trailer Repair is looking to bring on another great technician to our team in Lenexa, KS!
As we relocate into our new shop in April 2026, we are in need of another senior-level caliber technician. Pay will vary based on experience, ranging from $35-$45/hr for this position.
We are looking for candidates who already experienced in the field, who show up to work every day with a positive attitude, and are looking to overcome new challenges each day. We are looking for candidates we can invest in to help us grow a successful shop long-term.
Candidates should meet the following requirements:
- 5 + Years experience in Diesel Mechanics required
- Strong Diagnostic skillset: Candidates should have extensive experience in general engine diagnostics, electrical diagnostics, aftertreatment system diagnostics, etc. They should be able to diagnose a large amount of issues without assistance. Candidates should be familiar with some or all of the following software: JPro, Diagnostic Link, Davie, Diagnostic link, Cummins Insite, Tech Tool
- Engine Work: Candidates should have experience in engine overhauls, in-frames, engine swaps, and other general engine repairs.
- Experience in swapping transmissions/clutches
- Extensive general knowledge of air brake systems, wheel end components, cooling systems, fuel systems, electrical systems etc.
- Experience working on multiple makes of Semi Trucks: Freightliner, Kenworth, Volvo, Mack, Peterbilt
- Some Experience working on dry van and/or flatbed trailers
Areas where experience is a plus, but not critical to success:
- Welding
- Experience working on reefer units
Pay: $35.00 - $50.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 – 55.0 per week
