Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic, personable Activities Coordinator to plan and lead engaging, meaningful activities for our adult participants with various disabilities. In this vital role, you will design and implement diverse recreational programs that promote socialization, cognitive stimulation, and overall well-being. The ideal candidate brings a great personality, high energy, and strong organizational skills to create a lively, welcoming atmosphere every day.
Duties
- Plan, organize, and lead daily individual and group activities (games, crafts, music, exercise, outings, and more)
- Create a monthly activity calendar tailored to guests’ interests and abilities
- Build genuine, warm relationships with guests and encourage participation
- Adapt activities to accommodate varying physical and cognitive abilities
- Set up, manage, and clean up activity spaces and supplies
- Coordinate with caregiving staff to ensure guest safety and comfort during activities
- Track supply inventory and submit requests for materials as needed
- Document guest participation and engagement for care planning purposes
- Assist with special events, holiday celebrations, and family engagement days
- Maintain a positive, upbeat environment that promotes socialization and well-being
Qualifications
- High school diploma required; degree or certification in recreation therapy, gerontology, or related field a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for documentation and scheduling purposes
- Experience working with adults in a care or activity-based setting preferred
- Outstanding and upbeat personality with genuine enthusiasm for connecting with people
- High energy and stamina to lead active, hands-on programming throughout the day
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Strong communication skills, both with management, guests and care team members
- Creative thinker who can adapt activities on the fly
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for enriching the lives of Audults and seniors with disabilities

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
