ROOT Cafe in Fennville, MI is looking for one barista/bartender to join our team. We are located on 120 E Main St. We are in our 12th year and have been growing yearly. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, motivated, and hard-working.. We are a seasonal community but this is not a seasonal job. 25-35 hours week. Compensation dependent on experience.
Responsibilities

Prepare alcohol or non-alcohol beverages. Must be 18+ years old.
- Interact with customers, take orders, and serve and make drinks including non-alcohol, espresso and cocktails
- Assess customers needs and preferences and make recommendations
- Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails or espresso drinks
- Help Plan and present drink menu
- Check customer's identification and confirm it meets legal drinking age
- Restock and replenish FOH inventory and supplies
- Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience
- Comply with all food and beverage regulations
Qualifications

Proven working experience in a restaurant with multi tasking skills
- Excellent knowledge of in mixing, garnishing and serving drinks
- Knowledge of a second language will be considered a plus
- Positive attitude and excellent communication skills
- Ability to keep the FOH organized, stocked and clean
- Relevant training certificate
- Routinely cleans front counter area, dishes and floors
We are a small cafe that has seasonal differences in customer volume, so responsibilities change depending on season and number of people on staff.
