Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Forklift Operator to join our fast-paced warehouse team. The Forklift Operator is responsible for safely operating a forklift to move, locate, stack, and count merchandise within the water bottling facility. This role supports daily warehouse and production operations by transporting raw materials, finished goods, and packaging supplies efficiently and accurately. The ideal candidate demonstrates a commitment to safety, organization, and teamwork in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operate a forklift in a safe and efficient manner in compliance with company policies and OSHA regulations.
- Load and unload trailers, materials, pallets, and products using forklifts and other warehouse equipment.
- Supply production lines with raw materials and remove finished goods.
- Move finished goods from the production area to the warehouse storage and operate a power jack to move pallets
- Assist with general warehouse duties such as stacking, wrapping, labeling, and organizing inventory.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas, warehouse, and loading docks.
- Adhere to safety, sanitation, and quality control standards at all times
- Work closely with production, quality control, and shipping/receiving teams to ensure smooth operations.
- Effectively communicate with all team members and effectively work in a team environment
- Perform other duties as assigned
REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Proven ability to safely operate sit-down and/or stand-up forklifts.
- Solid understanding of warehouse and production workflows.
- Basic math, reading, and communication skills -including adding, subtracting, division, and multiplication.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Basic computer or handheld scanner proficiency preferred.
- Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and different shifts as needed.
- Self-motivated, goal oriented, and adaptable to change
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid forklift certification/license (or ability to obtain upon hire).
- Experience in the beverage or food manufacturing industry is a plus
- 0 to 1+ years of production experience
WORK CONDITIONS
- Onsite, 24-hour facility with multiple schedules
- Shifts: 1st: 6:00 am – 2:00 pm; 2nd: 2:00 pm – 10:00 pm; 2nd split: 10:00 am – 6:00 pm
- Overtime if required and approved
- Flexibility needed for on-call and short-noticed work, weekend work, special events, or high-volume periods.
- General production facility environment, with driving, standing, and walking for long periods, with some sitting in between essential job activities.
- Repetitive tasks for extended periods
- Lifting up to 50 pounds
- Travel 10-25% required; primarily within local and Southeast regions, and other regions if needed, to participate in sales and marketing events.
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
