American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Oncology Clinic position requiring at least 1 year of outpatient oncology experience and an active NJ or Compact RN license.

Outpatient oncology clinic setting
-
Day shift, 4x10-hour shifts, 7:30 AM–6:30 PM
-
No weekends or holidays required
-
Nurses are partnered with a specific tumor group that sees patients for exams on select days of the week

Floating required within skillset among clinics
-
Charting via Epic (experience preferred)
-
Patient population includes those with leukemia/blood dyscrasias, lymphoma/non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, multiple myeloma, bone marrow transplant (BMT), and stem cell therapies

Active NJ or Compact RN license required

Current BLS certification required; OCN preferred
-
Minimum 1 year of outpatient oncology experience required

Ambulatory care experience preferred

IV therapy and infusion skills required
-
Ability to recognize and communicate abnormal lab values required

Skills in accessing/managing ports, central line care, and chemotherapy administration are preferred

Charge nurse experience preferred

SSN and DOB required for consideration

Two current references required for consideration

Responsibilities include chemotherapy administration and monitoring, port access and management, central line care, psychosocial support, and patient/family education

Business casual attire required; scrubs are acceptable

Local candidates are accepted

Former RWJBH staff (full-time or PRN) must have been separated from the RWJBH health system for a minimum of 1 year before being eligible for a travel assignment

Any candidate who fails a competency exam must wait 6 months before reapplying

RTO requests made after an offer is extended will not be accommodated; schedule changes after onsite arrival are not permitted
