Job Summary
Abner Solar is seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Technician Manager to oversee electrical operations across construction projects. This role manages installation, maintenance, and commissioning of electrical systems while ensuring all work is completed safely, on time, within budget, and in compliance with electrical codes and project specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee electrical construction projects from planning through completion
- Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources
- Supervise and mentor electrical technicians and electricians
- Ensure proper installation and maintenance of electrical systems and equipment
- Troubleshoot complex electrical issues and implement solutions
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors
- Conduct site inspections and enforce safety standards
- Monitor materials, inventory, and project costs
Maintain project documentation and reporting
Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 7–12+ years of electrical construction experience
- 3–5+ years of leadership experience
Licensing & Certfications
- Valid South Carolina Electrical Contractor or Electrician License (Required)
- Knowledge of SC electrical codes and NEC standards
- OSHA 30 Certification (preferred)PMP or equivalent certification (preferred)
Skills & Competencies
Strong knowledge of electrical systems and wiring
Ability to read blueprints and schematics
Strong leadership and communication skills
Advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
