Job Title – Associate Scientist, Quality Control

Job Summary
Associate Scientist supports Quality Control laboratory operations through preparation of reagents and buffers, glassware management, laboratory organization, and general support of physicochemical testing activities. This role ensures the laboratory is maintained in a compliant, organized, and inspection‑ready state in accordance with cGMP requirements. The technician works closely with QC scientists and laboratory personnel to enable efficient execution of analytical testing
Responsibilities
Laboratory Operations & Support
- Prepare reagents, buffers, and solutions according to approved SOPs and standard laboratory practices.
- Perform routine cleaning, sanitization, and maintenance of laboratory glassware and equipment..
- Maintain laboratory cleanliness and organization in compliance with cGMP standards.
- Ensure laboratory areas remain inspection‑ready at all times..
Materials & Reagent Management
- Support inventory management of laboratory reagents, chemicals, and consumables.
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate reordering to ensure uninterrupted laboratory operations.
- Receive, label, and store incoming materials in accordance with procedures.
- Track reagent preparation, expiration dating, and proper storage conditions.
Equipment & Lab Maintenance
- Perform routine checks and basic maintenance of laboratory equipment (e.g., pH meters, balances, pipettes).
- Coordinate equipment calibration and servicing as needed.
- Maintain cleaning logs, usage logs, and equipment documentation.
Documentation & Compliance
- Accurately complete laboratory documentation, logs, and records in compliance with cGMP requirements.
- Follow all SOPs, safety protocols, and regulatory guidelines.
- Support audit and inspection readiness activities by maintaining organized and compliant records.
Support for Physicochemical Testing
- Assist scientists with sample preparation and basic laboratory tasks supporting physicochemical assays.
- Prepare materials, reagents, equipment and lab space needed for routine testing activities.
- Dispose of laboratory waste in accordance with safety and environmental procedures.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, or a related scientific field preferred; equivalent laboratory experience may be considered.
- Previous GMP or QC lab experience.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to follow written procedures and maintain accurate records.
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced laboratory setting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in a laboratory setting, preferably within pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or QC laboratories.
- Familiarity with basic laboratory techniques and equipment.
- Experience working in a regulated (cGMP) environment is a plus.
The anticipated salary range for this position is $49,700 to 79,500
