Job Posting: Civil Construction Foreman / Crew Lead
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Civil Construction Foreman / Crew Lead to oversee daily field operations and lead construction crews on civil infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong organizational skills, a commitment to safety, and the ability to deliver high-quality work on schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead construction crews on civil projects, including site development, utilities, grading, excavation, concrete, and roadway work.
- Coordinate daily work activities to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
- Read and interpret project plans, specifications, and construction drawings.
- Assign tasks, monitor productivity, and provide guidance and training to crew members.
- Ensure all work complies with company standards, project specifications, and safety regulations.
- Coordinate equipment, materials, and subcontractors as needed.
- Perform daily safety meetings and enforce OSHA and company safety policies.
- Communicate project progress, delays, and material needs with project managers and superintendents.
- Complete daily reports, timecards, and production documentation.
- Identify and resolve field issues while maintaining quality workmanship.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of civil construction experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of excavation, underground utilities, grading, concrete, and site development.
- Ability to read construction plans and grade stakes.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to operate construction equipment is a plus.
- OSHA certification and CPR/First Aid certification are preferred.
