Position Details:
Job Type: Full or Part-Time
Schedule (Full Time):
- Monday–Thursday: 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
- Friday: 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM
- Includes a 45-minute lunch break
Schedule (Part Time):
- Monday and Wednesday: 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
- Friday: 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM
- Includes a 45-minute lunch break
Responsibilities Include:
- Greeting patients and ensuring a positive first impression
- Scanning IDs and insurance cards
- Pretesting patients and collecting a medical history
- Answering phones and scheduling appointments
- Collecting and verifying vision and medical insurance information
- Data entry (assisting with charting, invoicing, and records)
- Contacting patients regarding orders, appointments, and reminders
- Maintaining a clean and organized office environment
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in an optometry or ophthalmology office required
- Excellent computer and typing skills
- Experience with electronic health record systems
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Friendly, professional demeanor and a team-first attitude
