Do you have a passion for dog training and a desire to help develop both pets and people? We are looking for an experienced Dog Training Supervisor to lead our training program, mentor trainers, and help grow our training services while delivering exceptional experiences for pets and their families.
As the Dog Training Supervisor, you'll serve as the training department leader, overseeing day-to-day operations, supporting trainers, building client relationships, and helping drive department growth. This is a hands-on leadership role that combines dog training expertise, team development, customer service, and business management.
What You'll Do
- Lead the daily operations of the training department
- Schedule lessons and manage training program logistics
- Monitor training quality and ensure consistency with company standards
- Mentor, coach, and support trainers through ongoing development
- Assist with onboarding and training new team members
- Handle client concerns and provide exceptional customer service
- Track department performance and help drive revenue growth
- Lead training refreshers, teach-backs, and best-practice sharing
- Partner with marketing efforts through training content, community outreach, and local events
- Support resort operations as Manager on Duty (MOD) when needed
- Collaborate with resort leadership to achieve company goals
What We're Looking For
- Professional dog training experience with strong handling skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Leadership, coaching, or mentoring experience preferred
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience with marketing, community outreach, or content creation is a plus
- Passion for helping pets and their families succeed
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to kneel, crouch, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to safely observe and respond to animal behavior and movement
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced pet care environment
