Job Description:
We are a growing greenfield aerospace supplier seeking a proactive and people-centered part-time Human Resources Manager (.6 PTE) to help build and support our HR function from the ground up. This role is responsible for managing employee relations, leading full-cycle recruitment, coordinating onboarding, and developing and administering HR policies that support a high-quality, compliant, and safety‑driven workplace. The ideal candidate thrives in a startup or build‑phase environment, enjoys wearing multiple hats, and is excited to help shape HR practices that support long-term growth in the aerospace industry.
Responsibilities:
- Partner closely with assigned unit managers to support business and workforce needs
- Manage full-cycle recruitment for a variety of positions, including engineering and hourly/blue‑collar roles
- Support workforce planning, hiring, termination, and position replacement processes
- Provide guidance on employee relations matters, conflict resolution, and performance management issues
- Support employee engagement, retention, and overall employee lifecycle (“hire to exit”) activities
- Coordinate and manage relationships with external HR vendors (e.g., staffing agencies, background check providers, payroll or benefits vendors), ensuring service quality and compliance
- Act as the primary point of contact for HR vendors, including issue resolution and process coordination
- Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local labor laws, as well as internal policies and procedures
- Maintain accurate HR documentation and data within HR systems
Basic Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in an HR generalist and/or recruiting role
- 2+ years of experience recruiting for a range of roles, including technical and hourly positions
- 2+ years of experience working with external HR vendors or service providers prefer
Preferred Requirements:
- Experience in aerospace manufacturing
- Strong understanding of HR best practices, labor laws, and employee relations
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to manage and coordinate multiple vendors and internal partners
- Experience with HRIS and applicant tracking systems
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism
