The Bus Mechanic serves under the Director of Transportation and the Head Mechanic to ensure the district's vehicles and buses are maintained in a state of operating excellence and that they present no problems or disruptions to the educational process.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- CDL with airbrake, passenger and school bus endorsement; or the ability to obtain one
- Ability to perform engine and transmission diagnostics
- Ability to repair district vehicular equipment
- Assist in the maintenance of current inventory, supplies and equipment
- Assist in establishing an efficient and effective system of routine automotive maintenance and preventive care
- Performs other duties as assigned
