Job Duties (Customs Entry Writer):
- Clear goods through customs and facilitate delivery to their destinations for clients.
- Coordinate with carriers, freight forwarders, CFS warehouse, truckers, customers, and interoffice departments to ensure timely delivery of freight.
- Track, trace and update customers regarding arrival, delivery, and shipment status.
- Check customs clearance and freight release for shipment availability.
- Classify goods according to tariff coding system and calculate duty and tariff payments.
- Prepare and process import and export documentation according to customs regulations, laws, or procedures.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with carriers, freight forwarders, CFS, truckers, and customers to provide the best service possible for our customers.
Desired Experience (Customs Entry Writer):
Experience in international freight forwarding, warehousing and distribution, and/or customs clearance is a plus.
Required Language:
Read, write, and speak English fluently. Bi-lingual in any second language is a plus.
