Rancho Bernardo Pet Hospital is looking for a full-time Veterinary Assistant to join our growing team.
We are a fast-paced general practice focused on high-quality patient care, strong client communication, and teamwork. We are looking for someone with at least 1 year of veterinary experience who is dependable, organized, and able to work well under pressure.
Responsibilities may include:
- Assisting doctors and technicians
- Patient restraint and handling
- Monitoring hospitalized pets
- Client communication and education
- Assisting with treatments and procedures
- Cleaning, stocking, laundry, and general hospital maintenance
- Supporting surgery and treatment flow
- Answering basic medical questions appropriately
- Working collaboratively with the veterinary team
The ideal candidate:
- Has prior veterinary hospital experience
- Learns quickly and takes initiative
- Is kind, professional, and team-oriented
- Can multitask effectively
- Is comfortable in a fast-paced environment
- Is reliable and adaptable
- Has Saturday availability
