PRN Respiratory Therapist (RT)
Mt. Washington Care Center – Long-Term Care Facility
Mt. Washington Care Center is seeking a reliable and compassionate Respiratory Therapist (RT) to provide respiratory care services to residents in our long-term care setting. This position works collaboratively with nursing and the interdisciplinary team to support residents with acute and chronic cardiopulmonary conditions.
Responsibilities:
- Assess and monitor residents’ respiratory status
- Administer oxygen therapy, nebulizer treatments, and aerosolized medications
- Provide tracheostomy care and suctioning as needed
- Monitor and manage oxygen equipment
- Document treatments and resident responses accurately
- Respond to respiratory-related emergencies
- Educate residents, families, and staff on respiratory care procedures
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program
- Current state RT license (RRT or CRT)
- Current BLS certification (ACLS preferred)
- LTC or skilled nursing experience preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and communication skills
Schedule:
PRN (as needed); flexible scheduling based on facility needs.
