Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring efficient communication with kitchen staff
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
- Manage cash handling and cashiering duties accurately at the end of each shift
- Assist with food preparation, bussing tables, and maintaining sanitation standards to ensure a safe dining environment
- Use reservation systems like OpenTable to manage bookings and optimize seating arrangements
- Demonstrate excellent guest relations by addressing inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and exceeding expectations
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments, including fine dining or nightclub settings preferred
- Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; familiarity with OpenTable is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and professionally
- Knowledge of food safety practices, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures
- Culinary experience or kitchen background is advantageous for understanding food preparation processes
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
- Ability to perform basic math for cash handling, billing, and order calculations accurately
- Serving or host/hostess experience is desirable; experience in bussing or food industry roles is beneficial
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed in a fast-paced environment
