Position Overview
We are seeking experienced Houston-based field engineers or technicians to support the deployment and commissioning of AI-driven vision systems for industrial and commercial applications.
This is an on-demand, as-needed contract position intended for independent professionals to assist with field coordination, installation support, troubleshooting, and commissioning activities. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with machine vision systems, industrial networking, and field installations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with on-site deployment and commissioning of AI vision and camera-based systems.
- Support camera selection, mounting recommendations, and field installation coordination.
- Verify installation readiness (power, connectivity, mounting, and environmental factors).
- Coordinate with remote AI/software teams for troubleshooting and system validation.
- Perform basic device configuration and industrial network switch setup.
- Support integration of IP cameras, edge devices, and AI processing hardware.
- Ensure compliance with electrical and low-voltage installation practices.
- Document field findings and installation notes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with machine vision, industrial camera systems, and deployments.
- Familiarity with industrial networking (Ethernet/IP, switches, and connectivity troubleshooting).
- Basic electrical or low-voltage installation experience.
- Experience working in manufacturing, warehouse, or industrial environments.
- Strong communication and independent troubleshooting skills.

Pay: $55.00 - $75.00 per hour
