Position Overview
We are seeking a part time Dental Hygienist to work Thursdays and some Fridays and Saturdays, with the opportunity to grow into a full time position across our Peninsula offices for the right candidate.
Responsibilities
- Provide preventive and periodontal hygiene care according to clinical standards
- Deliver an exceptional patient experience through a friendly, compassionate, and non judgmental approach
- Educate patients on oral health and its connection to overall health
- Take digital radiographs and intraoral photos
- Administer local anesthesia as permitted by license
- Complete periodontal charting and clinical documentation
- Collaborate with the dentist and clinical team regarding patient needs and treatment
- Prepare, maintain, and properly sterilize instruments and hygiene operatories
- Maintain efficient patient flow and communicate schedule changes or delays with the team
Qualifications
- Active California Dental Hygiene license
- Degree from an accredited Dental Hygiene program
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience preferred
- Strong communication skills and a team oriented attitude
- Comfortable with modern technology and digital systems
