Overview
Join our dynamic team as a Wheelchair Technician, where you'll play a vital role in enhancing mobility and independence for our clients. Duties
- Perform comprehensive inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on various wheelchair models, including manual and powered units.
- Utilize OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) manuals, schematics, and calibration procedures to accurately troubleshoot mechanical and electronic components.
- Conduct maintenance tasks such as wheel alignments, brake adjustments, battery replacements, and component replacements using hand tools and specialized equipment.
- Use Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to document service activities, track repairs, and schedule preventative maintenance.
- Repair and calibrate electronic systems within wheelchairs, including DME (Durable Medical Equipment) components like motors, controllers, and sensors.
- Interpret technical schematics and mechanical drawings to identify issues and execute precise repairs.
- Collaborate with intake team to deliver on-site equipment repairs efficiently while maintaining high safety standards.
- Delivery and pickup of DME (Durable Medical Equipment).
- Clean and test DME (Durable Medical Equipment).
- Warehouse clean daily.
- Company vehicle clean daily.
Experience
- Proven mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in equipment repair or maintenance roles.
- Familiarity with OEM parts, schematics, calibration techniques, and electronic troubleshooting is highly desirable.
- Prior field service experience working with medical or mobility equipment is preferred.
- Strong proficiency with hand tools, computer hardware interfaces, and CMMS software for documentation purposes.
- Ability to read technical schematics and follow detailed repair procedures accurately.
- Knowledge of DME standards and safety regulations related to medical equipment servicing is a plus.

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
