Responsibilities
- Safely handle and transport food orders from the kitchen to guest tables using proper manual handling and safe lifting practices.
- Ensure food is delivered promptly and accurately, verifying orders against tickets or POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS.
- Assist with clearing tables by bussing dishes and cleaning surfaces to maintain a tidy dining area.
- Support food preparation and service staff by providing timely food running assistance during busy periods.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff, servers, and guests to coordinate service flow and address any special requests or concerns.
- Uphold food safety standards by handling food properly, maintaining cleanliness, and adhering to health regulations.
- Support overall restaurant operations through light cleaning duties, organizing supplies, and assisting with banquet or large group service when needed.
Experience
- Previous food service experience in a restaurant, hotel, or catering environment is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with food handling, serving techniques, and in-person customer service skills.
- Experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous.
- Knowledge of food safety protocols, kitchen operations, and basic food preparation is beneficial.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during busy service hours.
- Strong communication skills to interact confidently with team members and guests.
- Experience working in hospitality or banquet settings is a plus but not required; enthusiasm for learning is essential.
