About the Role
A growing renewable energy company in Puerto Rico is looking for an Electrical or Mechanical Engineer to join its Technical Operations team. You'll work directly with our COO supporting solar PV and battery storage operations, reviewing system designs, monitoring fleet performance, and developing installation standards that improve reliability across our portfolio.
This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career engineer ready to build expertise in one of Puerto Rico's fastest-growing industries.
What You'll Do
- Develop and maintain installation standards for solar PV, battery storage, and inverter systems
- Review system designs, one-line diagrams, and equipment configurations for technical accuracy
- Monitor system production, battery performance, alerts, and overall portfolio health
- Analyze performance data to detect underperformance and recurring technical issues
- Provide technical recommendations to improve system reliability and operational efficiency
- Serve as a technical resource across operations, servicing, vendors, and installation partners
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Renewable Energy Engineering, or related field
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, one-line diagrams, and technical specifications
- Analytical skills to review performance data and identify trends and anomalies
- Strong communication skills — ability to explain technical findings to both technical and non-technical teams
- Interest or experience in renewable energy, solar PV, or battery storage systems
Nice to Have
- Experience with residential solar PV and battery storage
- Familiarity with Tesla Powerwall, Enphase, SolarEdge, Generac, or FranklinWH
- Experience with monitoring platforms, Power BI, or ZOHO tools
- Knowledge of LUMA interconnection/net metering processes or NEC standards

Pay: $50,000.00 per year
