About Us:
We are a small, Christ-centered Montessori school committed to nurturing the whole child—spiritually, intellectually, emotionally, and socially. Our unique learning environment blends the Montessori method with a deep commitment to Christian faith, creating a peaceful, purposeful community where students learn through meaningful work, independence, and service.
As our school grows, we are seeking a School Executive Assistant who loves bringing order to complexity and helping a mission-driven school thrive. This is a highly relational, hands-on role for someone who enjoys variety, takes initiative, and finds joy in serving wherever needed.
Position Overview:
The School Executive Assistant plays a central role in the daily life of the school, supporting operations, communication, admissions, events, and projects while helping ensure guides can focus on students. No two days are the same, and the ideal candidate is someone who enjoys solving problems, anticipating needs, and running with ideas from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate admissions, tours, and prospective family communication
- Manage school communications, including newsletters, emails, and social media
- Support parent and staff communication
- Coordinate school events and special projects
- Manage calendars, scheduling, and meeting logistics
- Keep projects organized and moving forward, following through on details independently
- Assist with ordering supplies and maintaining organized school systems
- Prepare classroom materials, make copies, and assist guides as needed
- Provide occasional classroom support or student supervision when appropriate
- Help maintain a warm, welcoming environment for students, families, and visitors
- Perform other duties that support the mission and daily operations of the school
Qualifications:
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Self-starter who takes initiative and follows through with minimal direction
- Able to prioritize well in a fast-paced environment with many moving pieces
- Proficient with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Gmail, Calendar)
- Warm, relational, and service-minded
- Fully supportive of the school’s Christian mission and values
- Experience in education, Montessori, nonprofit, or operations is preferred but not required
Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate is someone who notices what needs to be done before being asked, enjoys creating systems, communicates well with both adults and children, and finds satisfaction in helping others succeed. They are equally comfortable organizing a school event, welcoming a prospective family, preparing classroom materials, or coordinating multiple projects at once.
