Suwanee Prep Academy of Braselton is seeking a passionate, dependable, and energetic Lead Preschool Teacher to join our Preschool 3’s classroom team. Our program is dedicated to providing a nurturing, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment where children can thrive socially, emotionally, and academically.
Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience.
Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:30am–5:30pm
Primary Responsibilities Lead Preschool Teacher:
- Responsible for the overall supervision and daily classroom functions of a group of preschool children.
- Maintain a safe, healthy, and positive classroom environment while following all local, state, and licensing regulations.
- Implement lesson plans and classroom schedules in accordance with Suwanee Prep Academy curriculum and standards.
- Observe and assess each child’s developmental progress on an ongoing basis.
- Foster children’s social-emotional growth through positive guidance and consistent classroom expectations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and engaging classroom environment that encourages creativity, exploration, and independence.
- Communicate professionally and effectively with families regarding student progress and classroom activities.
- Collaborate with leadership and fellow teachers to support school-wide goals and classroom success.
- Participate in parent-teacher conferences, school events, staff meetings, and professional development opportunities.
- Assist with classroom housekeeping duties, playground supervision, and other responsibilities as needed.
- Maintain professional appearance and conduct in accordance with the Suwanee Prep Academy Employee Handbook.
Desired Skills & Qualifications Lead Preschool Teacher:
- Must meet all requirements of Georgia child care licensing regulations.
- Must possess a CDA, TCC, Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education, or equivalent credential.
- Previous experience in a licensed childcare center or early childhood classroom preferred.
- Strong understanding of the developmental needs of preschool-aged children.
- Ability to create engaging, hands-on learning experiences for young learners.
- Excellent communication, classroom management, and teamwork skills.
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).
- Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds as needed for child safety and classroom activities.
