Job Description
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, Business, Health Related Field or an Associate’s Degree in Nursing and agrees to enroll in a Bachelor’s Degree program in any of the above areas within one year of hire. Graduation from an accredited school of nursing with active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure. ASN from an accredited nursing program required. BLS, preferred immediately upon hire but required within 6 months of hire. Certification in inflection control (CIC) must be obtained within three months of becoming eligible per CBIC criteria. Certification in infection Prevention and Control as issued by the Certification preferred. Board of Infection Control and Epidemiology preferred. Associate infection prevention and control certification considered for candidates actively working toward CIC eligibility preferred. Occupational health related certification preferred.
Required: At least five years of diversified medical/surgical nursing experience. Familiar with Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC), OSHA Accrediting Agency, APIC, NYSDOH, Americans with Disabilities Act, (ADA) regulations and mandates. Must possess computer skills. Must have good organizational skills.
Preferred: Experience with NHSN reporting, immunization documentation, and NYS DOH regulatory reporting. Experience with DNV/ISO standards, CMS CoP compliance, and regulatory survey participation, or occupational health nursing.

Salary Range: $40.87 - $57.69
