Commercial / Industrial New Construction Pipefitter
Location: Austin, TX
We are currently hiring an experienced Pipefitter for commercial and industrial new construction projects in the Austin, TX area. This is a local position only and no per diem is available. We are looking for someone dependable, safety-focused, and experienced in installing piping systems from layout to final tie-in. The ideal candidate will be comfortable reading drawings and specifications, working alongside other trades, and helping keep projects on schedule.
Pay Range
$30.00-$43.00/hour, depending on experience
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair piping systems on commercial and industrial new construction projects
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, isometric drawings, and technical specifications
- Measure, cut, thread, bevel, fit, and assemble pipe according to project requirements
- Install valves, fittings, supports, hangers, and related piping components
- Inspect and test piping systems to ensure proper operation and leak-free performance
- Coordinate with supervisors, project teams, and other trades to meet production goals and project milestones
- Follow all company and jobsite safety policies and procedures
- Maintain tools and equipment and report unsafe conditions or damaged equipment
Qualifications
- 3+ years of commercial and/or industrial pipefitting experience required
- Must have new construction experience
- Ability to read and interpret prints, piping drawings, and project specifications
- Strong knowledge of pipe installation practices and jobsite safety requirements
- Dependable, detail-oriented, and able to solve problems in the field
- Able to work independently or as part of a team
