Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Assistant/Medical Scribe to join our healthcare team. The Medical Assistant/Scribe will work closely with healthcare providers to document patient encounters ensuring accurate and thorough medical records. This role is crucial in enhancing patient care by allowing providers to focus more on patient interaction while maintaining high-quality documentation. Ideal candidates should have a strong understanding of medical terminology, and a passion for patient service.
Duties
- Accurately document patient histories, physical exams, and treatment plans during medical visits.
- Assist healthcare providers in managing electronic health records (EHR) by inputting data efficiently.
- Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure all necessary information is captured for patient care.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations while handling sensitive patient information.
- Support the healthcare team in various settings, including supporting nurses, therapist, and attending physicians with any medical need necessary for the patient.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance knowledge of clinical procedures and documentation standards.
Experience
- Previous experience in a clinical setting is preferred, particularly in areas such as behavior health, family medicine, fast paced medical environment.
- Familiarity with medication administration and patient care protocols is highly desirable.
- Experience working with diverse populations, including adolescent and adults under 65 years old.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team are essential.
- Proficiency in using electronic health record systems is an advantage.
