Lifeguard | Part-Time (Seasonal)
Hourly Compensation: $14.00
POSITION SUMMARY
The Lifeguard is responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of guests using the pool facilities. This position monitors pool activities, enforces safety rules, responds to emergencies, and provides exceptional guest service. Lifeguards must remain alert, attentive, and focused at all times while maintaining a safe and enjoyable environment for our guests.
This is a seasonal, part-time position and is an excellent opportunity for high school and college students seeking summer employment.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education, Knowledge, Training & Experience
- Must be at least 15 years of age and meet all certification requirements.
- Current high school students are encouraged to apply.
- Current Lifeguard Certification required.
- Current CPR/AED and First Aid Certification required.
- Strong swimming skills and the ability to successfully complete all required lifeguard testing.
- Ability to remain attentive and focused in an active pool environment.
- Ability to enforce safety standards and hotel policies in a professional and respectful manner.
- Ability to respond calmly and effectively during emergency situations.
- Strong guest service and communication skills.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and evenings.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Monitor all pool activities to ensure guest safety.
- Enforce pool rules and safety regulations.
- Respond quickly and appropriately to emergencies and rescue situations.
- Administer first aid and CPR/AED when necessary.
- Maintain constant surveillance of guests in and around the pool area.
- Provide exceptional guest service and assist guests as needed.
- Report safety concerns, incidents, and maintenance issues to management.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized pool environment.
- Participate in required training, drills, and certification renewals.
- Ensure compliance with hotel policies regarding pool safety and guest conduct.
