Job Overview
We are searching for a creative & motivated individual to join our vibrant team as a Green & Blooming Plants Designer, where your passion for horticulture and creativity will flourish!
Responsibilities
- Create unique plant designs that follow changing trends in plants, including blooming plants, orchids, succulents, and seasonal plants.
- Determine types and quantities of horticultural plants to be ordered, based on budgets, projected sales volumes, or executive directives.
- Order plants from wholesalers and maintain relationships with vendors
- Receiving, unpacking & proper care of blooming and green plants.
- Manage invoices from multiple wholesale plant and floral companies for new orders, standing orders, and damaged good claims.
- Maintain inventory of hardgoods, including containers, growing medium, decorative elements, design supplies, etc.
- Maintain accurate inventory documents for use by sales team members.
- Is able to follow plant recipes and designs.
- Works well in a fast-paced environment.
- Availability to work weekends (primarily Saturdays, as the shop is closed most Sundays), holidays, and occasional evening shifts during peak holiday seasons.
- Is committed to being organized and clean with regards to plant room, sales floor, coolers and facilities.
- Flourishes working in a team environment.
Experience
- Knowledge of plants
- Green Thumb
- Excellent customer service skills
- Artistic and creative nature
- Be knowledgeable about the stages and diseases of plant life
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
