Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner PMHNP
Purpose of Position
The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will evaluate clients to diagnose and treat mental, emotional, or behavioral disorders. Focusing on clients diagnosed with treatment resistant depression. PNP will administer Spravato and observe patients receiving treatment. PNP will also assist with TMS patients and med management.
Functions:
- Provides direct medical services to clients in the form of medication evaluations and medication check-ups that include prescribing practices that are in accordance with applicable law and with current medical standards of the community.
- Documents the delivery of direct medical services in the medical record in accordance with recordkeeping requirements.
- Collaborates with physicians, psychologists, social workers, counselors, psychiatric nurses, or other professionals to discuss treatment plans and client progress.
- Orders necessary laboratory or diagnostic tests and reviews results for appropriate follow-up.
- Observes and complies with standards and guidelines found in Agency Policy and Procedures.
- Evaluate and complete notes via EMR system in a timely manner
- Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION
Licensed by Arkansas State Board of Nursing as an Advanced Practice Nurse. Certification by national certifying body with prescriptive privileges. Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner required.
JOB SKILLS
Required: Ability to maintain confidentiality. Ability to effectively communicate with clients, clinical staff, and support staff and administrative staff. Travel may be required.
Preferred: Proficient computer skills, excellent spelling and grammar skills.
Pay: From $100,000.00 per year
