Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Seamstress to join our dynamic production team. Responsibilities
- Operate industrial sewing machines and serging equipment efficiently to assemble garments and fabric products.
- Measure fabric and materials accurately using measuring instruments to ensure proper fit and dimensions.
- Cut fabric manually with precision, following detailed patterns and specifications.
- Construct garments or upholstery items by sewing seams, attaching embellishments such as embroidery, and performing seam construction techniques.
- Handle materials carefully, ensuring proper storage, handling, and movement of fabrics to prevent damage or waste.
- Maintain strict adherence to safety standards in production areas, including proper use of machinery and personal protective equipment.
- Conduct quality checks throughout the production process to meet established quality standards in production.
- Use dimensional measurements and fabric materials knowledge to troubleshoot issues and improve product consistency.
Qualifications
- Proven experience with garment sewing, upholstery, or related textile work.
- Skilled in operating sewing machines, serging, embroidery machines, and other related equipment such as cutting tools and measuring instruments.
- Strong understanding of seam construction techniques and garment construction processes.
- Knowledge of fabric materials, their properties, and handling requirements.
- Ability to perform manual cutting with precision based on patterns or templates.
- Familiarity with safety standards in production environments to ensure a safe workspace.
- Attention to detail in measuring, stitching, and finishing products to meet quality standards.
- Excellent manual dexterity combined with good visual acuity for detailed work involving fabric materials.
