The Lifestyle Fitness Trainer provides therapeutic fitness programming for individuals receiving clinical and residential services through Hope Network's Neuro Rehabilitation program. In this role, you'll lead engaging individual and group fitness activities that promote physical health, cognitive function, social engagement, and overall well-being while helping individuals build confidence and maintain meaningful, active lifestyles.
Lead individual and group therapeutic fitness programs tailored to each participant's abilities and goals
Develop engaging exercise programs that promote physical, cognitive, behavioral, and social wellness
Provide hands-on support and direct care for individuals who require assistance during activities
Create a safe, inclusive, and motivating environment that encourages participation and independence
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and enhance Lifestyle Fitness programming
Complete timely documentation of participant progress and activity sessions
Organize special events and encourage participation in community-based fitness and recreation opportunities
Maintain fitness equipment and ensure a safe therapeutic environment
Assist with training and mentoring new staff on Lifestyle Fitness programming
Provide transportation for participants as needed
Passionate about health, wellness, and helping others achieve their goals
Energetic, positive, and able to motivate individuals of varying abilities
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Creative and adaptable when developing fitness programs
Team-oriented with a commitment to person-centered care
Organized and able to balance programming, documentation, and participant needs
Preferred:
Required:
High school diploma or GED
Current certification as a Certified Personal Trainer (CPT), Corrective Exercise Specialist, or Exercise Physiologist
One to three years of experience as a fitness trainer or in a similar role
Previous professional work experience
Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Ability to develop, implement, and document individualized fitness programming
