We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavioral Health Technician to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide direct patient care and support individuals experiencing behavioral health challenges, including those with substance abuse disorder, and mental health disorder.. You will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to implement treatment plans, monitor patient progress, and ensure compliance with healthcare standards. Responsibilities
- Assist in conducting intake assessments and gathering comprehensive medical and behavioral histories for new patients.
- Monitor vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration to track patient health status regularly.
- Implement behavior management strategies using applied behavior analysis techniques to promote positive behaviors.
- Support patients with activities of daily living, including medication administration following prescribed protocols while adhering to HIPAA regulations for medical records confidentiality.
- Engage in crisis intervention and crisis management to de-escalate situations safely and effectively when behavioral or emotional crises occur.
- Collect data on patient behaviors, progress notes, and treatment outcomes for accurate medical documentation and ongoing care planning.
- Collaborate with social workers, special educators, addiction counselors, and medical staff to develop individualized care plans tailored to each patient's needs.

Requirements
- Prior experience working with behavioral health conditions is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of crisis intervention techniques and crisis management procedures is essential for ensuring safety during emergencies.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, vital signs measurement, medication administration, and medical records documentation is required.
- Strong understanding of applied behavior analysis (ABA), behavior management strategies, and patient care practices in a behavioral health setting.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse populations including individuals with disabilities or mental health diagnoses such as PTSD or addiction issues.
- Excellent communication skills for documenting medical records accurately and collaborating within multidisciplinary teams.
