Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly, present menus, and provide recommendations to enhance their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring timely delivery
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation
- Upsell menu items and specials to maximize sales opportunities while respecting guest preferences
- Manage guest inquiries, resolve issues promptly, and ensure overall guest satisfaction through excellent customer service
- Assist with food handling, food preparation, bussing tables, and maintaining cleanliness in compliance with sanitation standards
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate orders, ensure food safety, and uphold quality standards in a fine dining or casual setting
Requirements
- Previous restaurant or food service experience is preferred; fine dining experience is a plus
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; OpenTable experience is advantageous
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and professionally
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to perform basic math for cash handling, billing, and order accuracy
- Experience in serving, bussing, host/hostess duties, or cashiering within the food industry is highly desirable
- Culinary experience or kitchen background can be beneficial but is not required
