Operate vertical milling machines with little to no supervision.
- Understands manufacturing prints and tolerencing.
- Thoroughly inspect their parts of all call out specifications.
- Work with shop lead to know which jobs to work on next.
- Help and train new employees if assigned
Physical Demands While Performing the Job
- Visual acuity: near acuity and accommodation are required for reading machine dial gauges, blueprints, and precision measuring instruments used in the inspection of parts
- Hearing ability: ability to monitor machine sounds to identify and diagnose changes to take appropriate action
- Frequently required to stand, walk, push, reach overhead, and bend to the floor
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
