Job Description:
- Communicates directly with construction supervisor, making known all requests for tools and/or materials for work each day at job sites.
- Installs, and at times directs, the installation of the solar electric system that connects the solar array power to the utilities grid power of our residential and commercial customers.
- Troubleshoots problems in the electrical system and/or the PV system as needed, resolving electrical issues.
- Maintains a safe work site, providing oversight of the safety of the crew.
- Ensures attention to detail and a high level of quality control with correct installation methods.
- Identifies and solves job site installation challenges to ensure an efficient installation.
- Ability to work in attics and on roof tops, assembling racking systems and running conduit.
- Able to communicate professionally with clients on residential and commercial projects.
Requirements:
- Able to work on roof tops of houses and commercial buildings.
- Able to lift equipment and modules weighing up to 75 pounds.
- Experience with electrical wiring of up to 600 VDC and 480 VAC.
- Valid California drivers license with a clean driving record.
- Able to pass a drug test
- Ability to read plans, understand three phase electrical systems and bend complex conduit bends.
- Able to complete basic electrical calcs and basic knowledge of NEC.
- Access to reliable transportation to and from job site and/or shop.
Required Experience:
- 4-6 years experience in either the commercial or residential electrical industry.
- Journeyman card.
- High School diploma or GED.
