Press Maintenance Technician
Zing Recruiting, in partnership with a Tier 1 automotive supplier in the McCalla, AL area, is seeking a skilled Press Maintenance Technician to join their team! This is an excellent direct hire opportunity offering competitive pay and strong benefits while supporting high-volume manufacturing operations.
Pay: $21.00 – $33.00/hour (based on experience)
Shift Available:
Night Shift: 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM (Rotating schedule: 3 on / 2 off; 2 on / 3 off)
- Perform preventive maintenance and emergency repairs on press and production equipment
- Troubleshoot and resolve automation and electrical issues, including PLCs and ladder logic
- Maintain and repair machinery to ensure optimal daily operation
- Assist with equipment setup, installation, and relocation
- Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical issues
- Focus on improving uptime, reducing downtime, and increasing operational efficiency
- Read and interpret schematics and technical documentation
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and maintenance procedures
- High School Diploma or GED required; technical certification preferred
- 2–3 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with automation and electrical troubleshooting
- Proficient with PLC troubleshooting and ladder logic
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems (5V–480V)
- Ability to read and interpret hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical schematics
- Familiarity with PLC software and general computer applications
- Willingness to obtain forklift, overhead crane, and elevated lift certifications
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as climbing, kneeling, and balancing
