Phoenix Uprising LLC is actively seeking a dependable and hardworking Make-Ready Technician to join our team at Phoenix Apartments. We own and operate a portfolio of apartment communities throughout the Phoenix area and work closely with our on-site teams to provide quality housing and excellent resident service.
Our company culture is highly team-oriented, and we are looking for someone who takes pride in their work and understands the importance of maintaining and preparing apartment homes for new residents. This is a hands-on position focused primarily on apartment turns, work orders, and exterior building repairs. The ideal candidate will have experience in painting, repairs, unit preparation, and general maintenance.

Compensation & Benefits
- $30/ per hour starting pay
- Free on-site apartment (rent concession available) *Utilities are not included and remain the responsibility of the employee/resident.
- Additional details will be discussed during the interview process.
- 4 days off on most major holidays.

Key Responsibilities
- Complete apartment make-ready turns in a timely and professional manner.
- Prepare vacant units for new residents by ensuring all work meets company standards.
- Perform painting, patching, texture repair, and touch-up work.
- Repair or replace damaged fixtures, blinds, doors, locks, cabinets, and hardware.
- Complete minor plumbing, electrical, and carpentry repairs as needed.
- Install and repair cabinetry, shelving, appliances, and other apartment components.
- Assist with cleaning and final inspections of vacant units.
- Report any major maintenance issues to the Lead Maintenance Technician or Property Manager.
- Maintain organized inventory of supplies and materials.
- Assist with property maintenance tasks, grounds upkeep, and work orders when needed.
- Ensure all work is completed safely and efficiently.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous apartment make-ready experience required.
- Experience with painting, drywall repair, texture matching, and apartment turns required.
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general maintenance.
- Certifications in HVAC, Pools, Plumbing and other relevant areas - Strongly Preferred.
- Experience with cabinet installation and repair preferred.
- Carpentry experience required.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high-quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Reliable transportation and consistent attendance required.
- Must possess basic tools of the trade that are necessary to perform daily job duties.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 100 pounds.
- Frequent lifting and carrying of up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and perform physical labor throughout the workday.
- Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, and painting equipment.
