SGR, LLC is one of Colorado’s oldest defense litigation law firms. Our firm is growing, and we have an immediate opening for an Insurance Defense Paralegal with a minimum of 3 years of experience. This position requires daily billable timekeeping. Candidates must be detail-oriented and have a demonstrated ability to perform consistent, high-quality work while cognizant of task-related deadlines with little or no supervision.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Assisting with drafting of pleadings, motions, and discovery.
- Preparing attorneys for depositions, meditations, and trial.
- Communicating with clients, claims handlers and expert witnesses.
- Ordering medical records and preparing medical chronologies.
- Investigating facts
- Summarizing testimony
- Daily billable timekeeping
- Supporting up to 4 attorneys.
Paralegal Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED or higher education.
- ABA approved certification is a plus.
- Insurance Defense experience.
- Strong knowledge of MS Word and Outlook
- Intermediate knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience with NetDocuments, ActionStep/Soluno a plus
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
- Multitasking capabilities.
- Discretion and confidentiality required.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and work well with team members.
Compensation:
$65,000 – $85,000 (dependent on experience)
