Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and specialty beverages with precision and flair
- Engage with customers warmly, taking orders accurately and providing friendly, attentive service
- Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards by adhering to proper food handling and food preparation procedures
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure quick service without compromising quality
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks, including assembling snacks or light food items as needed
- Ensure all retail sales transactions are accurate, including cash handling and register balancing
Experience
- Previous barista experience or background in food service is highly preferred, demonstrating familiarity with café operations
- Experience using POS systems
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to connect positively with diverse guests
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling techniques
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and transaction accuracy
- Excellent time management abilities to handle high-volume periods smoothly
- Familiarity with the food industry or retail sales environment enhances your ability to succeed in this role
Pay: $12.00 - $20.00 per hour
