Position Overview
We are seeking a licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our clinical team in a balanced role that includes hormone optimization, functional medicine, wellness care, weight management, regenerative therapies, and aesthetic medicine.
This is not solely an injector position. The right candidate should be clinically confident, patient-focused, and comfortable managing ongoing age-management patients, including a large male hormone optimization patient population. The role requires professional communication around sensitive wellness topics such as testosterone therapy, energy, weight, libido, sexual health, stress, sleep, and medication adherence.
Key Responsibilities
Hormone Optimization / Functional Medicine
- Evaluate new and established hormone optimization patients under clinic protocols and physician oversight.
- Review patient history, symptoms, lab results, current protocols, dosing compliance, side effects, and wellness goals.
- Support care plans involving testosterone therapy, female hormone therapy, thyroid/adrenal support, compounded medications, supplements, peptides, and related wellness interventions, consistent with scope of practice and clinic protocols.
- Identify potential protocol concerns, adverse effects, gaps in care, or changes requiring physician review.
- Educate patients on lab monitoring, medication adherence, injection technique, expected outcomes, side effects, and follow-up timing.
- Communicate confidently and professionally with both male and female hormone patients, including patients who may be discussing sensitive men’s health concerns.
Aesthetics / Regenerative / Wellness Services
- Perform aesthetic consultations and treatments based on training, experience, licensure, and clinic protocols.
- Provide injectable treatments such as Botox/Dysport and dermal filler when credentialed and approved by the clinic.
- Experience with lip filler, tear trough filler, nose filler, PRP, microneedling, IV therapy, or regenerative treatments is preferred.
- Perform before-and-after photography and documentation when clinically appropriate.
- Educate patients on treatment options, maintenance plans, retail products, and complementary services.
Clinical Documentation / Collaboration
- Maintain accurate, detailed, timely documentation in the EMR, including SOAP notes, assessments, treatment plans, informed consent, orders, and follow-up recommendations.
- Collaborate with the supervising/collaborating physician and internal team to support safe, consistent patient care.
- Follow clinic protocols, compliance standards, prescription/order procedures, and patient communication expectations.
- Help identify workflow gaps and support consistent patient follow-up and protocol management.
Qualifications
- Active Florida Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license in good standing.
- DEA registration not required. Medication orders are handled under the supervising/collaborating physician’s license and DEA registration, consistent with clinic protocols and applicable law.
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience preferred in age management, hormone therapy, functional medicine, wellness, regenerative medicine, aesthetics, urgent care, family medicine, internal medicine, or a related field.
- Strong preference for experience with hormone replacement therapy, men’s hormone optimization, compounded medications, peptides, supplements, weight management, and lab interpretation.
- A4M, AMMG, or other hormone/functional medicine training is highly preferred but not required.
- Aesthetic injectable experience is preferred, especially neurotoxins, dermal fillers, PRP, tear trough, and advanced facial assessment.
- Must be comfortable speaking with patients by phone and in person, educating patients, documenting clearly, and supporting patient retention.
- Must be professional, dependable, self-directed, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a small, fast-moving clinical environment.
Ideal Candidate
- Has genuine interest in hormone optimization, longevity, wellness, and age-management medicine.
- Can build trust with patients who are managing long-term hormone protocols.
- Is comfortable discussing sensitive health topics without embarrassment or judgment.
- Understands that excellent patient care also includes patient education, follow-up, retention, and appropriate service recommendations.
- Can balance clinical autonomy with physician collaboration and established clinic protocols.
