Our client is a leading precision manufacturing company specializing in the design, development, and production of high-quality bearing components and assemblies. They are looking for an experienced Manufacturing Engineering Manager.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop the Manufacturing Engineering team, providing technical guidance, mentoring, and resource planning.
- Oversee the design and development of bearing components, assemblies, tooling, and manufacturing processes to meet customer requirements.
- Support the Sales team with application engineering, technical proposals, design layouts, and customer-facing engineering solutions.
- Develop and implement manufacturing processes, tooling methodologies, work instructions, engineering change notices, and process controls.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, and Production teams to resolve engineering issues, improve product quality, and reduce manufacturing costs.
- Lead engineering projects from concept through production, ensuring delivery on time and within budget.
- Drive Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, DFMA, and continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity, reduce scrap, and increase efficiency.
- Support PPAP, process validation, root cause analysis, ISO compliance, and customer corrective action activities.
Skills and Experience Required
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline, or equivalent manufacturing engineering experience.
- Minimum 5 years' engineering experience within a manufacturing environment, with leadership or project management experience preferred.
- Strong background in bearing design, manufacturing engineering, machining, metal stamping, assembly processes, and tooling design.
- Experience designing or supporting progressive dies and manufacturing tooling.
- Proficient with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Microsoft Office applications.
