Duties
- Assist with demolition, debris removal, and site cleanup to prepare for renovation activities
- Support carpentry tasks such as framing, trim carpentry, door hanging, and cabinet installation using hand tools and power tools
- Perform building material installation including flooring, tile laying, drywall, stucco, plastering, and roofing under supervision
- Help with window and glass installation to ensure proper fit and sealant application
- Operate heavy equipment and power tools safely to facilitate concrete forming, masonry work, or other structural tasks
- Interpret construction plans and schematics to accurately execute project specifications
- Conduct basic construction inspection and quality checks to ensure adherence to blueprints and safety standards
- Assist in electrical and plumbing tasks where applicable, following schematics and technical drawings
- Support restoration efforts such as caulking, painting, concrete finishing, or masonry repairs as needed
- Collaborate with team members on site to coordinate tasks efficiently and maintain a safe work environment
Qualifications
- Prior construction site experience or hands-on work in remodeling or renovation projects preferred
- Familiarity with construction management software such as Bluebeam is a plus
- Knowledge of construction estimating processes and blueprint reading is advantageous
- Experience with building material installation including flooring, tile laying, drywall or roofing is desirable
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment safely and effectively
- Basic electrical or plumbing experience is beneficial but not required; willingness to learn is essential
- Strong physical stamina with the ability to stand, walk, lift heavy materials, and perform manual labor for extended periods
- Excellent communication skills and ability to interpret technical drawings or schematics accurately
