Job Summary
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Lead Childcare Teacher to join our team at Levi Early Learning Preschool. You will be responsible for creating a nurturing, safe, and stimulating environment where children can thrive emotionally and academically. As a lead educator, you will design age-appropriate curricula, mentor assistant staff, and build strong partnerships with our families.
Key Responsibilities
- Curriculum Development: Design and implement daily lesson plans that foster social, emotional, and cognitive growth.
- Classroom Management: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Observation & Assessment: Track developmental milestones and provide regular progress reports to parents.
- Safety & Compliance: Ensure all state licensing regulations and safety protocols are met at all times.
- Mentorship: Guide and support assistant teachers to maintain a cohesive and positive team dynamic.
Required Qualifications & Credentials
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of professional experience in a licensed childcare facility.
- Education: CDA (Child Development Associate) credential, Associate’s, or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or a related field. EDU 119
- Background Check: Must be able to pass a comprehensive federal and state criminal background check and fingerprinting (required by state law).
- Certifications: Valid CPR and First Aid certifications (Pediatric level preferred).
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 35 lbs and remain active with children throughout the day. Ability to obtain physical and TB test.
