Johnston Eye Associates is a hospital-based ophthalmology and optometry practice that has served the Oklahoma City community since 1971. The practice provides comprehensive ophthalmic and optometric care, with a focus on cataract and glaucoma surgery, as well as full-scope primary eye care services, including vision, medical, and focused ophthalmic examinations. This is a full-time, on-site Ophthalmic and Optometric Assistant/Technician position. The technician plays an essential role in all aspects of patient care, serving as a liaison between the doctors and patients while helping coordinate care throughout the visit. Responsibilities include performing pre-exam testing, pre-cataract surgery testing, obtaining medical and vision histories, and preparing patients for examinations.
Diagnostic testing includes Optos imaging, OCT imaging, visual field testing, Argos biometry, and Pentacam imaging. Additional responsibilities include scheduling appointments, updating electronic health records, assisting with contact lens training, and guiding patients through clinic processes to ensure an efficient and positive patient experience.
Pay: $16.00 - $26.00 per hour

Experience:
