Position Summary: Under the supervision of the Warehouse Supervisor, and reporting to the Warehouse Group Lead, the incumbent selects and packs eye frames, frame cases, and other TURA products, and completes orders as needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Selects, packs, stocks, and completes orders for eye wear, frame cases, and other
TURA products.
- Completes special assignments which include sorting, labeling, assembling boxes for shipment, stocking merchandise, inventory, and preparing shipments of merchandise.
- Participates in inventory as necessary
- There may be some quality control duties.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to read and write English
- Knowledge of basic math skills
- Ability to select, pack/stock, and inventory small merchandise.
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and handle a multiple-task workload.
- Some knowledge of computers and automated processes.
- Ability to read fine print.
- Demonstrated experience in successfully working with others.
- Ability to meet attendance requirements
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent and the ability to read and write English
Physical Requirements: The work involves standing either on padded or concrete surfaces for prolonged periods of time. The incumbent regularly walks, bends, stoops, reaches, lifts and carries. Work involves lifting and carrying up to 40 pounds. The average weight of an eye wear shipment is 3 pounds; however, a carton of eye wear cases can weigh approximately 40 pounds. Flexibility of movement is essential. Fine motor skills are required for selecting and packing frames.
Hours of Work: The hours of work are Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Some overtime is required.
