POSITION OVERVIEW: The Senior Project Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of healthcare construction projects, from inception through completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with regulatory and healthcare-specific standards. This role requires expertise in healthcare construction. The Senior Project Manager will lead project teams, manage client relationships, and serve as a key point of contact for regulatory agencies and stakeholders.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Project Leadership and Planning:
§ Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, including scope, budget, and schedule, tailored to healthcare facility requirements.
§ Lead project teams through all phases, including planning, design, construction, and closeout.
2. Regulatory Compliance:
§ Ensure projects comply with healthcare regulations, including OSHPD/HCAI requirements, Joint Commission standards, and title 22 and 24.
§ Coordinate with regulatory agencies and consultants to obtain necessary permits and approvals.
3. Healthcare-Specific Construction Oversight:
§ Oversee construction activities to ensure compliance with healthcare standards, infection control protocols, and safety regulations.
§ Manage construction activities related to critical infrastructure, including medical gas systems, HVAC, electrical systems, and life safety systems.
4. Budget and Cost Management:
§ Create project budgets, utilizing company software and templates.
§ Monitor project budgets and costs, implementing strategies to mitigate overruns and optimize financial performance.
§ Approve invoices, change orders, and other financial documents in alignment with project budgets.
5. Risk Management and Problem-Solving:
§ Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impacts on project timelines and outcomes.
§ Resolve conflicts and issues promptly to maintain project momentum.
6. Documentation and Reporting:
§ Maintain detailed project documentation, including schedules, budgets, reports, and regulatory submissions.
§ Provide regular updates to clients and stakeholders on project status and progress.
7. Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
1. Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field.
2. 10+ years of experience in healthcare project management preferred.
3. Proven track record of successfully managing complex healthcare projects from planning to execution.
Pay: $144,300.00 - $190,837.00 per year
